The other main characters are brilliant but insecure med student Barto, philosopher-barman Mikey, a natural womanizer who cultivates immaturity and disarming charm, Broadway-actress-dancer Audrey, who becomes Barto's girl, and Elisa Cronkite, Jack's colleague at the TV station.
