Exiled to Shanghai

After bungling an assignment during the Spanish Civil War, newsreel cameraman Ted Young (Wallace Ford) is fired by his cantankerous boss, Charlie Sears (Dean Jagger). But when Ted successfully establishes the first television newsreel service, he wins the approval of his peers. Soon, he's offered Charlie's old job and Charlie is shipped off to Shanghai, far away from the pretty girl (June Travis) he and Ted both admire.
