The Steamroller and the Violin

is a 1960 short film directed by Andrei Tarkovsky and from a screenplay written by Andron Konchalovsky and Andrei Tarkovsky. The film tells the story of the unlikely friendship of Sasha, a little boy, and Sergey, the operator of a steamroller. The film was Tarkovsky's diploma film at the State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), but was made at the Mosfilm studio.

And he succeeds, and as a result Hyder Ali is killed in a fake police encounter on the grounds that he was a Pakistani spy; while Arjun Ranavat, whose attempts to avenge Hyder\'s death, results in the deaths of 18 people - results which prompt the Police Commissioner to dismiss Arjun from the police force, and issue orders for his arrest - dead or alive. Arjun is captured alive and his trial commences, with one of the allegation being that he was having an intimate affair with his very own sister, Rakhi Dixit, as well as having underworld connections, and killing 18 people. Will Arjun be able to answer to these charges? Or will he become another victim to Kashinath and his men.$

Sandhya then demands that she re-locate to the U.S. to further her career, while Prem\'s mom issues an ultimatum that she either marry Prem immediately or relieve him so that he can get married to someone else.$

He is received by her dad, Dinanath, who informs him that Anju has been dead for over 3 years now. A disbelieving Vijay, assisted by CBI Inspector Jayant Mathur, decides to trace Anju. He and Jayant do find her, but she claims that she has never met Vijay and identifies herself as Mona, a Goa-based dancer/singer. Vijay must now accept Anju\'s death and move on little knowing that if he persists he will soon be declared insane as none of the people he has come across thus far are who they claim to be.$

When Pradhan finds out, he offers to take Sujata to meet Gajanan with the hope that he will permit her to become his daughter-in-law. But Gajanan not only refuses, he also threatens them, he warns them of dire consequences if Sujata does not abort the child, and moves away to another town. Pradhan refuses to let Sujata out of his house, and then begins the stalking and harassment by Gajanen\'s men. Pradhan goes to file a police complaint, but is told that the police cannot even touch Gajanan\'s men. Sujata has no choice but to continue to seek shelter with Pradhan and his wife. Sujata does not know that Pradhan and Parvati have a secret agenda of their own in keeping her within their sight.$
