A family weekend is fraught with emotional landmines for mercurial and sensitive Lynn (Barkin) as she arrives at her parents' Annapolis estate for the marriage of her estranged eldest son Dylan (Michael Nardelli), accompanied by her three younger children (Ezra Miller, Kate Bosworth, Daniel Yelsky). Lynn's hopes for a joyful reunion are crushed as her wry but troubled middle son Elliot (Ezra Miller) lobs verbal grenades at his mother and her relatives while daughter Alice (Kate Bosworth), a fights valiantly to keep her longtime demons under control. The weekend quickly unravels as Lynn demands to be heard by her aloof, disdainful mother (Ellen Burstyn), ailing, distant father (George Kennedy) and ever-judgmental sisters (Siobhan Fallon, Diana Scarwid), but most especially by her ex-husband Paul (Thomas Hayden Church) and his hot-tempered second wife Patty (Demi Moore). Confronted with the deeply painful, half-buried truths that have given rise to the family's primal web ofresentments and recriminations, Lynn struggles to maintain her equilibrium as her best attempts at reconciliation veer quickly off-course.

A motto director Joe Carnahan has taken to heart in making The A-Team. A smart move, as complete and uncompromising exaggeration appears to be exactly what the format asked for. Especially since the translation of TV shows to the big screen has proved to be no easy task. Just look at Miami Vice, which pretty much bombed despite the presence of Michael Mann, the director/producer who created the original series. Or the near criminal trashing überhobbyist MacGuyver recently received by the hands of questionable farce MacGruber. In a world so significantly different from the mid-eighties, the severely underpaid and hopelessly dated missions of the four fugitives could have very much been out of place as well. The reincarnation by the hands of Carnahan however, avoids many of the pitfalls that the outdated format has to offer. For one, the director has brought the well known premise of the series to the present. Vietnam has been replaced by Iraq and the bad attitude of Bosco Baracus is not the only thing that makes the foursome dangerous: the happy-go-lucky stance of a team that rarely asked for enemy casualties has been replaced by an attitude that better suits a group of elite soldiers. What is especially striking is how well the cast handle their roles, and how much fun they have doing so. Understandable, since the characters in Carnahans installment have been blown up as well. First of all when I read some of the reviews about this movie all my excitement was drained but I went to see it anyway. What do you now, the movie was great. It was fun, had a lot of action in it, the CGI was nice (excecpt few scenes in the beginning). I thought acting was nice Gyllenhaal (prince) and Arterton (Princess) did a good job in my opinion. As a fun of the game; the script wasn\'t entirely accurate just like most of the movies based on games but it didn\'t stray too far either. OK it was not the perfect movie but it was something that I would go and watch its sequel. Overall I enjoyed myself and I believe if you go open minded you will enjoy yourself too.$

Shrek Forever After

This one has recaptured the fun of the franchise while potentially being the darkest one in terms of plot. Alternate universe stories have been done to death, but the appealing nature of so many of the characters makes this one work, as well as the fact that the filmmakers are clearly trying to wrap up the story (which includes a small bit of retconning at the beginning, but it pays off toward the end). The 3D occasionally falls into the trap of throwing things towards the audience, but the characters and sets are so beautifully animated in all dimensions (the textures of Shrek and Donkey, particularly, have improved even on the wonder that was Kung Fu Panda) that the 3D actually adds to the enjoyment. The first two remain the crown jewels of the franchise, but this is a worthy addition and a suitable end to the... well, saga is too strong a word, so storyline will have to do. And the bonus? Eddie Murphy gets to sing SEVERAL songs WITHIN the movie!$

It was definitely Platinum Dunes\' best movie. The first 30-45 minutes were very powerful, and then it kind of slacked, but came back at the end. Nevertheless, I surprisingly never lost interest, something I was kind of expecting, because I\'ve been keeping up with this movie for almost a year now. It held me to the very end, and I never got bored with it. Putting the movie up against the original, it failed. But putting it up against the entire Nightmare franchise, I\'d say it was better than all the sequels. A very worthy entry, a great popcorn movie, and a great comeback to an icon who hasn\'t had a movie completely to himself in 16 years. I\'ll definitely buy it when it comes out. Putting it in the context of remakes/reboots, I\'d say it was above RZ\'s Halloween II, Stepfather, Friday The 13th, Texas Chainsaw, and The Wolfman, but lower than Hills Have Eyes and Last House On The Left.$

But she\'s still afraid to let him in and when she tells him about her pregnancy thinking he would bail but he sticks with her. This is a great movie to see with friends, family or a date. It does not disappoint. The funny parts are well acted as are the few moments of serious dialog. I often walk out of a theater feeling like that was an hour and a half of my life I will never get back. Too many crappy endings and just drawn out movies. It\'s a let down to see serious faces as after a comedy is over. This is a fantastic upbeat, funny movie that will have you smiling as you walk out of the theater. Be sure to hang around a minute after it\'s over so you can see the hilarious out-takes. Jennifer Lopez is picky when it comes to the projects she chooses. I know if she is in it than it\'s going to be good. It is a pleasure to see Alex O\'Loughlin in the role of the charming and attractive all around \$
